The Marina is situated on the Birmingham Level of the Worcester / Birmingham canal with approximately 25 miles of lock free cruising available. Alvechurch is a village in rural Worcestershire just off junction 2 of the M42. It also has a railway station adjacent to the Marina with electric trains every 30 minutes during the day to Birmingham and Redditch.

The Weighbridge Public House

There is an award winning canalside "Free house" on Alvechurch Marina serving drinks (including real ales) and reasonably priced home cooked bar food. This cozy canalside pub was once the old Weighbridge office for offloading coal barges to horse and cart for local deliveries. It is now transformed into a friendly hostelry which is an ideal place to start and finish your holiday.

Meals are served daily, and during the cruising season breakfast can also be booked to make your last morning as relaxing and memorable as the rest.

Open from 12 - 3pm and 7 - 11 pm (Sunday 10.30pm). Home cooked food available 12 - 2pm and 7 - 9pm.
