Gayton is situated just a hundred yards from the Grand Union Canal,
a busy commercial route in its working time and now still well
serviced with traditional hostelries. Routes from Gayton are typified
by rolling Northamptonshire arable landscapes, the rural countryside
punctuated by fair sized towns and villages easily accessible
from the canal side.
